Bond Hearings
After you’ve been arrested, if a bond is not automatically given, or you are being held on a “no bond” charge, then you must appear at your Initial Appearance (IA) to have your bond established. Having a knowledgeable attorney like Blake Simons representing you at such a hearing can help ensure that an excessive bond is not assigned to your case. Alternatively, if a bond that you are unable to pay is assessed on your case, he can motion the court and present evidence to attempt to get your bond lowered so that you do not spend the entirety of your case in jail. Bond hearings can be very difficult without legal representation.
