I’m Blake Simons, founder of The Simons Law Firm and I am fighting for our civil rights, ensuring our voices are heard. I recently confronted FHP head on at the Pulse Crosswalk and despite their threats of arrest to the peacefully assembled community members, FHP left without any arrests. They had no legal standing to threaten arrests and I made it clear to them we would fight them in court. Later that night I represented an individual who was arrested for walking across the Pulse Crosswalk with chalk on his shoes. The judge agreed with my argument that FHP had no probable cause and the gentleman was released on his own recognizance. The legal fight is just beginning.
